Spirit — PGL Astana 2026 champions

PGL Astana 2026 has concluded in Astana. Spirit became the champions of the tournament, defeating Falcons in the grand final with a score of 3-0.

Having exited the group stage with a 3-0 record, Spirit confidently secured their status as the tournament favorites. In the playoffs, the team did not face any serious difficulties, sweeping G2, and then MOUZ, securing a place in the final.

For Falcons the group stage also went relatively smoothly — the team suffered its only defeat against 9z with a score of 1-2. The playoffs became a real test of strength for the "Falcons": the very first series against FURIA turned out to be incredibly tense and full of spectacular moments. After losing the first map, the teams moved on to Nuke, where the fight was evenly matched. In the deciding round at 15:14 in favor of FURIA, the duo of kyousuke and m0NESY in a 2v4 situation managed to win the round and defuse the bomb 0.3 seconds before the explosion, sending the game into overtime. In the end, Falcons took the map after three overtimes, and then snatched victory on Dust2, securing their advance further. In the semifinals, the team took revenge on 9z and reached the final.

The final series was fairly close, but Spirit proved stronger on all three maps and confidently closed out Falcons with a 3-0 score, becoming the champions of the tournament and earning $256,000.
