MOUZ extended contracts with sycrone and Xyp9x

Two Danish coaches remain at the helm of MOUZ

MOUZ has extended the contracts of head coach Dennis sycrone Nielsen and his assistant Andreas Xyp9x Højsleth without disclosing the duration of the new agreements.

sycrone was promoted from the MOUZ NXT academy in 2022 and since then has become one of the most notable coaches on the scene, having spent his entire coaching career within the organization.

In 2025, MOUZ reached the semifinals nine times in a row and claimed only one title — at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, which drew criticism from the community.

In the announcement, sycrone said that he wants to shift the focus of the discussion from pressure on the young players to the quality of the team’s play and work.

Xyp9x joined the club in March 2024 and shares his experience of the path from “chokers” to four-time Major champions with Astralis.

He compared the current situation of MOUZ with the early years of Astralis and believes that the team needs to “squeeze out the last five percent” through perseverance, unity, and hard work.
