Mandatory completely updates the roster for the 2026 season

The French organization Mandatory officially presented a completely updated roster for the upcoming 2026 season in Valorant. The team signed four new players, retaining one from the previous roster and completely changing the core lineup.

The decision to rebuild was made after the 2025 season, where Mandatory showed stable results at the regional level but failed to break into the VCT league. The team's highest achievement was 3-4 place at VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 in October. The team also became a prize-winner three times in the stages of the French Challengers league, namely second places at VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 1 and VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 3, as well as third place at VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 2.

New faces of Mandatory

Thomas Kada Johner transferred from the team Joblife, where in 2025 he, along with the roster, took 5-6 place at VCT Ascension EMEA 2025. He will lead the updated team.

Nathan nataNk Bocqueho joined from KOI, which left the VCT franchise at the end of 2025. With this team, he tried to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2025 and participated in VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2.

Ethan Sevire Starke came from the academic roster of Karmine Corp Blue Stars. In the 2025 season with Karmine Corp Blue Stars he took second place at VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 2, 3-4 place at VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 1 and 5-8 place at VALORANT Challengers 2025 EMEA: Stage 2. In addition, Sevire had experience substituting for Jake Boaster Howlett in Fnatic at the tournament SOOP VALORANT League 2025, where the team took second place.

Ryad Sh1n Ensaad also transferred from Joblife, where he played throughout the 2025 season. With this team, he consecutively achieved victory at VALORANT Challengers 2025 France: Revolution Stage 3 in August, then took 5-8 place at VALORANT Challengers EMEA 2025: Stage 3 in September, and finished the year at 5-6 place at VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 in October. This path shows his experience in key regional qualifying tournaments.

Besides the newcomers, the main roster retains Jonathan TakaS Paupard. Another player, Wassim keloqz Cista, remains in the organization but is not part of the starting five. The coaching staff, led by Kevin made Ducourtoux, remains unchanged.

The updated Mandatory is expected to debut in the upcoming regional qualifying tournaments.
