Gentle Mates parted ways with head coach pakko and promoted KUNDIKUNDI to this role
Gentle Mates removed Pavel pakko Kostich from the position of head coach and appointed Juri KUNDIKUNDI Honkala in his place.
This happened against the backdrop of the team failing the regular season of VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1, where they finished in fourth place overall. Despite this, Gentle Mates still have a chance to qualify for VALORANT Masters London 2026; the team will start the playoffs from the lower bracket, and three slots at the main tournament will be up for grabs in total.
The team will now be led by former assistant coach KUNDIKUNDI. Before working with Gentle Mates and after ending his playing career in 2021, he managed to work with such teams as BIG, MOUZ, and FOKUS.
