Marvel Rivals IGNITE 2025: New Details and a Grand Start in May

Developers have revealed new details about Marvel Rivals IGNITE 2025, one of the most anticipated esports tournaments of the year. The competitions will kick off in May 2025 and cover five regions: Americas, EMEA, China, Asia, and Oceania. The total prize pool will exceed $3,000,000, with $1,000,000 to be awarded at the Grand Finals.

For the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025 Stage 1: Group Stage, the four top teams from each region have already been invited based on the results of the MRI and MRC 2025: Season 1 tournaments. In the case of MRI, the China, Asia, and Oceania regions will receive two slots each for the tournament. Other teams will have the opportunity to compete for participation through open qualifiers, which will provide two chances to advance. The top teams from the group stage of the first phase will proceed to regional playoffs. Half of them will automatically qualify for the second stage of Ignite. In July, a mid-season final will take place to determine the participants for the second stage. The tournament will conclude with the Grand Finals in November.

The first open qualifiers will begin on May 21, including: Marvel Rivals Ignite Americas Stage 1 Split 1: Open Qualifiers, Marvel Rivals Ignite EMEA Stage 1 Split 1: Open Qualifiers, Marvel Rivals Ignite Asia Stage 1 Split 1: Open Qualifiers, Marvel Rivals Ignite China Stage 1 Split 1: Open Qualifiers, and Marvel Rivals Ignite Oceania Stage 1 Split 1: Open Qualifiers. EMEA and Americas will receive four slots each from the first qualifier and four from the second, while Asia, China, and Oceania will get three slots each for the first and three for the second qualifier. The second qualifier will start on May 28.
