Silver storms into the game, online smashes records

Valve released an update for Deadlock, which was marked by two key events: the release of the third of six announced heroes and a new all-time peak player count.

The community met the update with unprecedented activity. At the moment of Silver's release, Deadlock's online player count exceeded 115,500 players. This figure is rapidly approaching the game's absolute record — to beat it, just over 60,000 concurrent players are still needed. These numbers indicate a growing interest in the project.

The main innovation is the hero Silver — the first unique character to bring a transformation mechanic into the gameplay.

• Slam Fire: Instant weapon reload with increased rate of fire and additional damage depending on the target's current health (accuracy is reduced).

• Boot Kick: A dash with a strike, knockback, and application of a mark to the first enemy in the path.

• Entangling Bola: A bola throw that deals damage, slows, and blocks movement abilities, jumps, and stamina spending.

• Lycan Curse — Passive/Active: The bar fills when dealing damage (faster at low health). When activated, Silver transforms into a wolf, gaining bonus health, movement speed, and rate of fire, as well as completely new versions of her abilities.

Important nuance: It is precisely because of this transformation that Silver becomes the first hero in Deadlock who in total has seven unique abilities: 4 in her normal form + 3 new ones in wolf form, which significantly expands her potential and the variability of her playstyle.

Balance changes for other heroes
The update also brought targeted tweaks for existing characters:

• Graves: His core skill Jar of Dead has been significantly nerfed (damage, bounce mechanics, skull durability). The behavior of Borrowed Decree has been changed.

• Bebop: The damage and duration of Sticky Bomb have been adjusted, but a rate-of-fire bonus has been added at the third talent level.

• Shiv: Base health and Serrated Knives damage have been slightly reduced.

• Rem: Received a mixed set of tweaks: buffs for Pillow Toss and Tag Along, but a nerf for Naptime.

The update is already available in the game, inviting everyone to try the new complex hero Silver and evaluate the changes in the metagame.
