Relog to host $30,000 LAN in Cyprus before the Major
Serbian tournament organizer Relog Media is launching a new LAN event HLC CYPRUS PRO with a $30,000 prize pool. The games will be played April 3–5 in Limassol, Cyprus.
A total of 16 teams will compete: 12 slots will go to lineups that pass open registration and pay a $1,000 entry fee, and four more spots will be awarded through a local qualifier.
The tournament is specifically scheduled right before the Valve Regional Standings update on April 6, which will be used to distribute invites to IEM Cologne Major. Therefore, as was previously the case with Birch Cup, DraculaN S2 and Fragadelphia Blokctober before StarLadder Budapest Major, teams from the fringes of the scene will come here for the last VRS points.
The format is also tailored for the ranking: round-robin groups guarantee each team at least three matches, after which the best eight advance to a single-elimination playoff.
Only the top four teams will receive prize money:
- $12,000
- $8,000
- $6,000
- $4,000
