controlez leaves The MongolZ after a successful stand-in stint

The 28-year-old Mongolian player Unudelger "controlez" Baasanjargal has finished his stand-in stint with The MongolZ. He was brought in as an emergency replacement for star player Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold.

With controlez the team reached the playoffs at IEM Chengdu and Budapest Major, and he posted a 1.05 rating — above average for a stand-in. However, after three tournaments the cooperation came to an end.

He first played under The MongolZ tag back in 2017, but only reached his first Major in 2025 with Chinggis Warriors. His second Major came with The MongolZ: in Stage 3 controlez recorded a 1.23 rating, but in his debut Major playoffs he failed to cope with the pressure — that match turned out to be his last for the team.

The MongolZ are now back down to four players. Coach Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat can turn to young talent Anarbileg "cobrazera" Uuganbayar or bring Senzu back into the starting lineup.

Current lineup: Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren, Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold, Ayush "mzinho" Batbold, Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch; Senzu remains inactive.
