BetBoom create an upset by defeating Vitality at Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta 2026

BetBoom unexpectedly defeated Vitality 2–1 in a tense series at the Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta 2026 tournament. 

Over the course of the matchup, the teams traded map picks and everything was decided on the third map, Nuke. After losing the pistol round, BetBoom managed to win the force-buy on the CT side and put together a phenomenal streak of 10 consecutive rounds, showing textbook defense and finishing the half with a 10–2 score. Team Vitality, in turn, also dropped the pistol round, won the force-buy and started gaining rounds one after another. For a moment, viewers might have had flashbacks of the incredible comeback by the Frenchmen against Natus Vincere on the same Nuke a week earlier at BLAST Rivals Spring 2026, but BetBoom, smartly using a timeout after the 7th round won by Vitality, were still able to close the game out. 

The victory, for which many bookmakers offered odds higher than 10, allowed BetBoom to reach the winners’ final of the group and secure a spot in the playoffs at the Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta 2026 arena.
